Werking in a coal mime, mowin' clown clown

Honestly, I have a difficult time motivating for much of anything these days, but getting my ass on the torch is proving to be a real bitch.

Luckily I like listening to public radio a great deal, since that's what I do all day when at work. I do still find myself being flabbergasted from time to time by the bullshit that I hear flinging out of the presidents mouth, and it still makes my jaw drop. I must admit that a recent article in the New York Times did help to clarify my view on GW. Also, a couple other things that have been of interest: like the interview with Filmmaker David Balsider in which he discusses his documentary that is sympathetic towards GW's "faith based" presidency. Another is the Morning Edition piece about the political screening at bush rallies. Thank the Lucky Lord that that man is out there fighting for freedom and justice! He gots Satan on the run now!

By the way- for those of you who are interested in hearing this interview, but don't want to use the spyware-infused realplayer, you can get a non-spyware version here.

Merritt is back in the states now. She popped me off a mail to say that she is back, but wont; be making any calls until she is settled at her parents place, once her bike makes it out of customs.

V flies to Washington DC for work this morning. I get to drive her to the airport at 6 am. Yeek.

Hey Eeee. The weird motivationless headspace may have more to do with your mom's situation than you realize. Having a seriously sick parent, even if you're not home with them, drains a tremendous amount of energy. Just be patient with yourself; it's not a failing. It's just what is. After my dad died, a lot of my aimlessness lifted.

Also, you do know that you're not supposed to put meat in the compost heap, right?

Truth be told, I was already having some motivation problems before my mom was diagnosed, though the lackluster vortex has increased a great deal after. The big challenge (as I'm sure you're aware), is that all of it feeds on itself. I am doing my best to just ride it out, but there is yet quite a pile to come. Life sure likes to serve up some intensely made dishes.

Oh- and no- I was not aware that meat doesn't go into the compost bin. No idea. Weird.

Eeen... another menu item for your radio diet -- Air America Radio. SanFran has it on 960 AM KQKE.

Hey if meat doesn't go into the compost pile, why are nearly all my ancestor buried in dirt?

In Sacramento the most fabulously fragrant rosemary bush around is smack in the middle of the city cemetary atop someone's lavish grave. Often I go over and break off a couple sprigs and add them to my next meal.

The cemetary is also considirably quieter than most of the city parks and filled with wonderful flowers and magnificent trees and is now my favorite nearby spot for sunbathing. It pisses some people off to find a half naked fellow spread out on a beach blanket, sippin' lemonade, atop Grandma's grave so I look for the "not yet occupied" sites to keep the peace.

Meat does go in the organics recycling bin. It says so right on the bin lids and on the San Francisco residential recycling page. It doesn't say anything about birds and mice though.
